Attendees: Tom Kokernak - chair, Carl Soderberg, vice-chair, Larry Todd - clerk, Gina Polewaczyk, Not attending:, Joyce Anderson

Tom opened the meeting at 7:02 pm.

Motion made to recommend Gina be reappointed to the commission. Unanimously approved. Motion made to recommend Joyce be reappointed as a regular member of the commission. Unanimously approved.

Mechanics Hall: The commission was previously informed by the selectboard that there will be a final attempt by the town to find a buyer for the property; would our commission consider altering the preservation requirements in the current documents?

After considerable discussion a motion was made and passed not to change the current language and convey this to the selectboard.

Boston Post Cane: the commission received a message asking if we could look into the history of the cane. Tom said he will do some research.

There was a request from the Wachusett Garden Club about cleaning the veterans’ memorial bench on the common. They seemed to have done their homework and we agreed cleaning with a simple hand brush and mild cleaning solution is the best approach, and no pressure washing.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 pm.
