History

As many of you remember, the Council on Aging used to have space in the Princeton Center building. When the building was closed in 2017, the COA Director at the time, Linda Farineau, found space for the COA in the lower floor of PO Place. The COA was happy to have some space but it was obvious that more space would be needed. When Sonoma moved out of PO Place, the Town approached the owners and management company of PO Place and began negotiation for the space. Voters approved increased funding for the COA at the Annual Town Meeting in 2018 to cover increased programming costs and increased rent. The new space, renamed the Princeton Senior and Community Center, was opened in the summer of 2018. Much thanks goes out to the numerous people who had a hand in making this space what it is today.
