Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM.

Members attended a joint meeting of the Advisory Committee and Selectboard to hear the Wachusett Regional School District’s FY 25 Budget Presentation. Superintendent Jim Reilly and Business Manager Michelle Grise gave a brief presentation. Superintendent Reilly discussed the challenges that have impacted this year’s budget including the Chapter 70 Hold Harmless Impact , Special Ed tuitions and reserves including the Excess and Deficiency fund to mitigate the problem. The WRSD budget reflects a 6.12% total increase. The increase to Princeton reflects an 8.46% ($476,456) budget increase. It was also noted that Princeton has an increase in students of 16.
