Trail Signage Project Completed

The Open Space Committee completed a first pass of adding signage to Princeton trails. This project included adding Kiosks, Trail Junction signs, and other signage to town trails and also to Princeton Land Trust trails. The new signage is designed to make it easier for hikers to explore the trails.

Kiosks were added or update at the following locations:

  • Four Corners (Midstate and local hiking)
  • Calamint Hill Trails
  • Cobb Brook Trails
  • PLT Bullock McElroy (two kiosks)
  • PLT Gregory-Alexander
  • PLT Russell Corner (formerly \Peabody-Metcalf)
  • Thomas Princeton School Nature Trails

Junction Signage was added at Calamint Hill by the Boy Scouts in 2020, and then added in 2021 to Cobb Brookk and the PLT properties. The new signage is comprised of small brown signs, primarily at trail junctions.

Phil O'Brien and Joe DiFranza volunteered time and materials for the kiosks. Deb Cary and Rick Gardner also worked on the signage project.
