ROAD ADVISORY COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes, Sept. 16, 2021 6:00 PM
Present: Town Administrator Sherry Patch, Highway Superintendent Ben Metcalf, Members Kevin Toohey, Ann Neuburg, Daeg Brenner
6:10 PM Call to Order (GoToMeeting)
Board reorganization:
Matt Granger nominated (Al Pearson), seconded (Kevin Toohey) and elected (unanimous) as new Chair. Ann Neuburg, volunteered and unanimously elected Clerk.
Administrative: Review and approve of April 14 minutes.
Project Status UpdateHighway Supt. Ben Metcalf reported:
- Completed projects:
- Leominster Road (April)
- Milling on Rt. 140 1400 Ft in Princeton
- Line painting
- Coal Kiln culvert waiting on water quality certificate caused delays. Amorello could not commit to project completion. Awarded to A.J. Virgilio for completion. Estimated time of completion 4 weeks. Mid October. Replace 3 culverts. Drainage improvements Coal Kiln and Forslund. Repaving next FY.
- To DO: Ben will notify DCR re: beaver issues on Coal Kiln Road.
- CEI Ball Hill Rd. Culvert waiting to hear from the state. We need to issue a contract extension. Questions regarding funding. Grant submitted.
- TO DO: Ben will ask CEI to submit a cost proposal for services to include bidding.
