Planning Board meeting
Town of Princeton, Mass.-- PLANNING BOARD meeting At T.H. Annex w/ remote participation by conference call
Meeting Minutes
--– August 19, 2020 7:30 PM
Present were: Chair John Mirick, Ian Catlow and Rud Mason with Lisa Drexhage. Tom Sullivan and Ann Neuburg were absent. No remote participants dialed in as of 7:55 PM
7:40 PM Opened meeting and started discussion with Lisa Drexhage, 16 Beaman Road, who is seeking a seat as Planning Board alternate member. She described her position working for Worcester Business Development Corp., a private, nonprofit that organizes site development throughout Worcester County. She has served on the town’s Facilities Planning Committee and has been a member of the Historical Society.
John M. explained the P.B. makeup and why an alternate member is important when more than one member must recuse from a public hearing, and four votes are needed for a special permit. This situation is being anticipated as Harrington Farm will be amending a special permit and a variance in the near future. John also noted that the town’s most popular special permits are for accessory apartments and home occupations.
8:10 PM The board voted 3 – 0 to recommend Lisa Drexhage to the Selectboard for approval as an alternate member of the Planning Board.
There was some discussion about the duties and powers (i.e.voting) of a P.B. Alternate.
8:20 PM Board voted all in favor to approve minutes from July 15, 2020
8:30 PM Adjourned.
Skipping Labor Day week, the next PB meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020
Respectfully submitted: Marie Auger, land use coordinator
