NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR ZONING AMENDMENTS

On Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 7:35 PM the Princeton Planning Board will hold a public hearing by remote participation regarding the following proposed changes to the Princeton Zoning By-Laws to be considered at the Annual Town Meeting on May 11, 2021.

The Planning Board has recommended the following amendments to the Princeton, Mass. Zoning Bylaws:

An amendment to Princeton Zoning Bylaws Section VII.2 addressing prior lawfully existing non-conforming building lots, structures and uses, to provide that new construction that meets currently-applicable setbacks would require only a building permit; that a special permit would be required for other construction; and that a special permit would be required for any change of use or resumption of an abandoned use or structure.

An amendment to Sect. VI 1. (B) exempting municipal uses from dimensional zoning regulations.

An amendment to Sect. VII 1. That would prohibit more than one principal use on a lot in any zoning district.

A copy of the actual language of the proposed changes is available for review at the Town Hall, 6 Town Hall Drive, Monday – Thursday from 8 AM – 4 PM or on the town website on the Planning Board page:  www.town.princeton.ma.us.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
