NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR ZONING AMENDMENTS

On Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 7:35 PM at the Town Hall Annex the Princeton Planning Board will hold a public hearing regarding the following proposed changes to the Princeton Zoning By-Laws to be considered at the Annual Town Meeting on May 14, 2019.

The Planning Board has recommended the following amendments to the Princeton, Mass. Zoning Bylaws:

An amendment to require site plan review for the construction of any building with a footprint of more than 10,000 square feet (“large buildings”) and, in addition, to double the setback requirements for large buildings, to 100 feet from the road, and to 60 feet from abutting property lines. An amendment to require site plan review for all marijuana facilities, rather than only retail, processing, and distribution facilities in business or business-industrial zones. An amendment to prohibit the use of mobile homes and trailers as permanent residences with an additional amendment to allow, with site plan review, temporary use of a trailer or mobile home during repairs or construction for one year, with a provision for extension by the Planning Board for good cause shown.

A copy of the actual language of proposed changes is available for review at the Town Hall, Monday – Thursday from 8 AM – 4 PM or on the town website on the Planning Board page:  www.town.princeton.ma.us.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Respectfully,

John Mirick, Planning Board chairman
