Attorney General Approval Letter - Annual Town Meeting 2021 Zoning and General Bylaw Amendments

Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40 Subsection 32, the Town Clerk is required to submit all general and zoning by-laws to the Attorney General's office for approval after each Town Meeting has dissolved. The Attorney General's office sends their decision to the Town Clerk regarding the validity of the submitted by-law or Charter changes. On October 12, 2021, the Office of the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts approved three amendments to the Zoning and General By-laws of the Town of Princeton. These amendments, designated as Articles 18, 20, and 22, were approved at the May 15, 2021, Annual Town Meeting, and certified copies of each vote are attached. Copies of the amendments can be obtained from the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours.

Any claims that these by-laws are invalid due to a defect in the procedure by which the amendments were made must be filed within 90 days of the posting date of this bulletin.
