Selectboard Seeks Applicants for the Town’s Advisory Committee

The Princeton Selectboard seeks applicants for the Town’s Advisory Committee.~The controlling legislation for the Advisory Committee is MGL chapter 39, section 16, and the Town’s General Bylaws, Chapter III. The Advisory Committee is charged with considering and making reports and recommendations to the Town on financial matters and any or all municipal questions, as well as researching recommendations for special Town projects throughout the year. The Committee also makes recommendations on all warrant articles presented to Annual Town Meeting for consideration as well as any Special Town Meeting articles.~ Financial matters encompass the Town operating budget, capital plan, forward looking financial projections and taxpayer obligations.~We are specifically looking for good communicators to collaborate with the Selectboard on capital and financial planning. The Advisory Committee meets throughout the year on approximately a biweekly basis.
