Reminder- License your dog by Tuesday, April 30, 2024 to avoid late fees

Town of Princeton Residents have until Tuesday, April 30, 2024 to register their dogs before late fees are applied. State Law requires that all dogs in the Commonwealth over six (6) months of age be licensed annually. Licenses are valid for one calendar year. 

Licensing requirements:

  • An up-to-date rabies vaccination certificate                                  
  • Spay/neuter certificate (if applicable)      
  • License Fee                                                            

How to License:

Online:

By mail (Payment must received by the deadline before late fees are applied. Postmark is not acceptable.)

  • Send a check for the license fee with an additional $2.00 mailing and administrative fee made out to the “Town of Princeton” Or
  • Send a check for the license made out to the Town of Princeton with a self-addressed stamped standard sized envelope. 

In person:

  • You may register your dog in person. The clerk's office accepts cash or check payments only. No appointments necessary. 

License Fees (per dog):

  • Male/Female (intact) - $15.00
  • Spayed/Neutered - $10.00
  • A late fee of $25 PER dog will be assessed in addition to the license fee after the April 30th deadline. Failure to license your dog will result in a $50.00 non-criminal citation from the Animal Control Officer. Any outstanding fees must be paid before a license will be issued to the dog owner.
