Princeton Hikes is featuring two special Princeton walks this week

Princeton Hikes is highlighting two hiking areas in town this week.Everyone is invited to participate! Please contact TrailAroundPrincetonMA@gmail.com if you would like to join.

The first hike will be held on Wednesday June 21 at 10AM at the new Red Fox Trail area off of route 31 on the south side of Princeton. In 2022 a new trail entry was created with some new trails and connections to a larger network of existing trails. The trails include loops of 1.7 and 2.7 miles and also a connector to Trout Brook Conservation Area in Holden and to the Central Mass Rail Trail. Wednesday's hike will be a slow walk through the local trails...about 2.7 miles.

The second hike will be a tour around the Princeton Land Trust properties near the center of town. This is a longer hike, about 5 miles. It will be held on Saturday June 24 at 9AM, and will start at the town center. The hike will go east down through on the Gregory Trails off Prospect Street and then around the Bullock-McElroy Trails to Krashes Field. Finally it will cross route 62 to the Russell Corner trails, visiting the beaver pond and returning through the Hall Field which runs along route 62 and back up to Princeton center..These are all pretty hiking areas!!

The town Open Space Committee would love to see more people using these trails. This is a great way to learn about them!!
