Lawsuit filed against Town of Princeton

Dr. Daniel Ervin and Cheryl Ervin of 30 Mountain Rd have filed a civil lawsuit under G.L. chapter 21E against the Town seeking reimbursement for damages to their property caused by firefighting activities, in particular the application of fire-fighting foam, on May 2, 2017. The Town received an initial notice under Chapter 21E from the Ervins in August 2020. Since then, the Town has participated in the pre-suit good faith process required for potential resolution, but the parties did not reach any resolution or settlement. This suit is the Ervins’ attempt to pursue those claims in court. The Town will take the necessary steps to properly respond and address the claims, which the Town disputes and believes are unsupported.
