Important Voter Deadlines for the October 10, 2023 Special State Primary, POLLS OPEN: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM at the Thomas Prince School, 170 Sterling Rd, Rt 62, Princeton, MA 01541

  • The election will be held in a classroom at the Thomas Prince School. All voters must enter and exit the polling place through the door that leads directly from the classroom to the parking lot. If you are arriving to the polling place with school related business, please check in at the main entrance, otherwise voter entry to the school is restricted to the polling place. There will be no restroom facilities provided on election day, please plan accordingly. 

Last Day and Hour to Register To Vote or Change Party Affiliation: By 5:00 PM, Saturday, September 30, 2023.

  • You can check your voting status or register to vote online at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/
  • A special registration session will be held at the Town Clerk’s office on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:00am-5:00pm for Princeton residents who wish to register or change their party status in person.
  • You may also register to vote in person during normal business hours at the Town Clerk’s office. Office hours are Mon.-Wed. 8am-4pm and Thursday 8am-2pm.

Last Day and Hour to Apply for Mail-In Ballot: By 5:00 PM, Monday, October 2nd, 2023

  • You can apply for a Mail-In Ballot online at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/MailInRequestWeb/MailInBallot.aspx
  • Or print, complete and return your Vote-By-Mail Application form by the deadline to the Town Clerk’s Office. Click HERE for Printable Form. 
  • Mail-In Ballots CANNOT be dropped off at the polling place on election day. Please return your mail-in ballot to the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall, before the close of polls. You may do so by mail, in person, or you may drop off your ballot in the secured ballot dropbox at the front of Town Hall.

The DS200 vote tabulator will be tested with sample ballots for the October 10, 2023 Special State Election (per 950 CMR 54.02) at 11:00AM on Monday, October 2nd, 2023 in the Princeton Town Hall at 6 Town Hall Drive, Princeton MA 01541.
