Vote by Mail Update: The town election ballots arrived yesterday afternoon. As of today, April 24th, the Town Clerk's Office has processed 488 Vote By Mail applications, 2 Absentee mail-in applications, and 1 UOCAVA application. All mail-in applications received from the beginning of the year until 11:30am today were processed with ballots delivered to the post office both yesterday and today. If you selected "All 2024 elections" on the Vote-by-Mail postcard mailed earlier this year, you will receive a mail-in ballot for the annual town election.

Mail-in Ballot Application Deadline for the Annual Town Election: 5pm, Monday, May 6, 2024

Return of Mail-In Ballots:

  • Mail-in ballots can be returned by mail, hand-delivered to the Clerk’s Office or delivered in the secured white election ballot dropbox at the front entrance of Town Hall. In order to be counted, mail-in ballots must be received before the polls close(8pm) on Election Day. It is recommended that voters deliver their ballots in the white election dropbox at the front of Town Hall once it gets closer to election day to avoid a delay in the mail. Mail-In ballots will not be accepted at the polling location on election day because the ballots must be entered into the state voter system before being processed at the polls.
  • Voters, please be sure to sign your ballot envelope before you return your ballot to the Town Clerk's Office. If there is no pre-printed label, print your name and address below your signature.

Deadline to Vote Absentee In-Person: 5pm, Thursday, May 9th, 2024 in the Town Clerk's Office.

  • To vote Absentee In-Person, you must complete the In-Person Absentee application, available at the Town Clerk's Office and be able to vote in person. You may not leave with a ballot to complete and return later.

  • To vote Absentee In-person, please call 978-464-2103 or email townclerk@town.princeton.ma.us for an appointment. The Town Clerk will be out of office on Thursday, April 25, 2024 for an election security training.
