Citizens’ Caucus - Lack of Quorum

The Citizens’ Caucus to nominate candidates for the May 9, 2022, Annual Town Election was not held this evening due to lack of the 25 registered voter quorum. The snowfall contributed to travel and safety concerns.

If you would like to have the Caucus rescheduled for mid-next week please email townclerk@town.princeton.ma.us , and if there is enough interest, the event can potentially be re-scheduled.

If there is not enough interest in a rescheduled caucus, anyone who intends to run for office may do so by taking out nomination papers from the Town Clerk’s Office. Signatures of 20 registered Princeton voters are needed to qualify for placement on the ballot. Nomination papers are available now. Don’t hesitate to contact the Town Clerk’s office to schedule a pickup.

Candidates must file nomination papers with the Registrars of Voters (Town Clerk’s Office) by 5 pm Monday, March 21, 2022. The last day to object to nominations or withdraw nomination papers is 5 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2022

If you have any questions, please contact the Town Clerk’s office at 978-464-2103 or by email at townclerk@town.princeton.ma.us.
