Board of Health Seeks New Member

With the death of long-time resident and volunteer Bob Mason, the Board of Health now has a vacancy. Ideally, the candidate would have septic system / Title V experience. Candidates should submit their applications by 12/15 so they can be reviewed and discussed at the BOH meeting on 12/16.

The Selectboard is concerned that we still have vacancies on several other committees, including the Advisory Committee, Conservation Commission, Road Advisory Committee, and Parks & Recreation Commission. For a full list of openings, see https://www.town.princeton.ma.us/town-clerk/pages/board-and-committee-vacancies. Our newly formed Buildings Maintenance Committee only has 3 of the 5 members it needs. If you want to learn more about the committees with vacancies, please contact one of their members or the Selectboard. Princeton relies heavily on its volunteers to do work that would otherwise have to be done by employees. For example, the Road Advisory Committee assists the DPW Superintendent and the Town Administrator. The Buildings Maintenance Committee is intended to assist the Town with better planning and scheduling of building-related work offloading this task, in part, from the Town Administrator. We encourage you to get involved!
