Attention Dog Owners: Don't forget to license your dog(s) for 2024. The deadline is TODAY, April 30, 2024. Late fees begin tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1st, 2024

Attention Princeton Dog Owners: The deadline to register your dog(s) before late fees are applied is TODAY, April 30, 2024. State Law requires that all dogs in the Commonwealth over six (6) months of age be licensed annually. Licenses are valid for one calendar year. 

Applications received after today will be subject to a late fee which is $25 per dog in addition to the license fee.

  • Please be sure to include the late fee(s) in addition to the license fee(s) when sending payment after April 30, 2024, otherwise the check will be returned. Starting May 1st, A late fee of $25.00 will be added to each dog license application that has been submitted online that has not been paid for.  

NOTICES SENT:

  • January 1st, 2024 - Informational census sheet with licensing deadline and dog license application mailed to all households in Princeton
  • January 11, 2024 - Reminder posted on Town News and Next Door
  • March 25, 2024 - Reminder posted on Town News and Next Door
  • March 27, 2024  - Dog License Application included with second mailing of the census to households who had not responded to the initial notice 
  • April 2024- Redemption Rock Newspaper, Town News, Next Door, Urgent alert
  • The dog licensing program also sends out automated email reminders to accounts associated with email addresses.

You can pay your license fees in person at the building department at Town Hall (8am-4pm) Monday-Thursday, online (please note there is a credit card fee per transaction.) in the dropbox at the front of town hall, or by mail. Starting tomorrow, letters will be mailed out to dog owners who have not paid for their dogs this year.
