The minutes for February 14, 2024 were approved.
Future Programs
Small Farm Shared Experiences
The large room at Town Hall Annex has been reserved for April 17, 2024 at 7:00. Panelists are still being lined up. Dylan and Eddie will moderate. Likely format will be short presentations to initiate discussion with audience participation. Depending upon size of audience and expressed interests, we could break up into several discussion groups. We will finalize panelists and likely format at the April 10 meeting. Susan is making arrangement with T&G and other publications for press releases.
Farm Day
Rattle Root, Andean Dawn, and Stimson Farm are confirmed as locations. Eddie will check with Audubon to see if they want to participate. Participating farms can reach out to craftspeople who might be interested.
MDAR Survey
Alissa Horsung (Town Clerk) asked for responses to a MDAR survey on agricultural commissions. It was the sense of the Commission that small, volunteer agricultural commissions could benefit from some regional organization by MDAR, but that the regions should not be too big. “Wachusett area” or “North County” would probably make sense. All of Worcester County, or state-wide would not. Eddie will respond.
