LIST OF TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED

  • Vote on acceptance of the August 4, 2021 meeting minutes.
  • Continue discussion of transfer of Agricultural Regulations from BOH to Ag Comm
  • Specific points of discussion/recommendations to BOH;
    • Size of coop
    • 4 square feet per chicken
    • Should info from this source be included in our regs
    • Rooster limitation
       
  • Add/include language re llamas and alpacas to existing regs
    • Include /update housing needs
    • Re information/regulations specific to Llamas/Alpacas:
      • Chad to share info from Plainview Alpaca Farm (Hubbardston) and/or Jen Baum
      • Eddie to share info from Walt Gowey and research
  • Determine date(s) to meet with BOH to discuss items 2 & 3 above

  • Discuss features from bordering towns’ websites that are noteworthy/to consider adding to our website. Discuss ideas found on other Ag Comm sites that we could leverage for our own

  • Economic report on Sterling Ag
  • Farm brochure
  • Photos of Sterling farm
  • Discuss  the merits/addition of additional alternate members for quorum purposes to our Ag Comm (this is a difference between Princeton and other, bordering Ag Comms)

  • Discuss the inclusion of Farm Preservation regulations (specific to what financially constitutes a farm)
  • in our current by-laws to further educate
