Animal Control

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Town of Princeton is a member of a Regional Animal Control agreement managed by the Town of Rutland Police Department.

All calls to the Animal Control Officer (ACO) are routed through the Princeton Police and every effort is made to respond to your call in a timely manner.

Important Information

All dogs 6 months of age and over must be licensed annually.

If you have 5 dogs or more 6 months or older you must apply for a kennel license. The Animal Control Officer will have to inspect your property prior to the issuance of a license. Please contact Regional Police DIspatch at the number provided above to scheduld an appointment for inspection.

Please attach the license tag to your dog(s) collar. If your dog gets loose or in case of an emergency it will help the ACO get in touch with you.
