Selectboard Announces Selection of new Town Administrator

Dear Residents,

The Selectboard is happy to announce that we have selected Sherry Patch of Hardwick to be our new Town Administrator. Sherry comes to us after four years as the Town Administrator in Sunderland and, prior to that, six years as the Town Administrator in Hardwick. Sherry is very familiar with all the aspects of serving as the Chief Administrative Officer of a small town, including, but not limited to, budget preparation, procurement, contract administration and management, and grant writing. Sherry is highly regarded in her current position by both employees and townspeople. She is known for her ability to get things done and to foster inclusiveness in the community.

Sherry’s passion is her work. She enjoys volunteering both at home and in the community that she serves. She has two grown children (twins) and beautiful granddogs Shelby and Shay (7 month old golden retriever puppies).  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, walking at the Quabbin, cooking, and reading.

Sherry’s first day on the job will be Monday, October 21. We encourage you to stop by and welcome her to the community. Seniors will have an opportunity to meet Sherry at the first Selectboard / Senior Breakfast on October 24 from 8-9. Others will be able to meet her at the Town Buzz on October 17 from 10:30-12:00.

Sincerely,

Karen Cruise, Chair
