Waste and Recycling Committee Public Meeting October 1

Princeton residents are reminded that the second meeting of the town’s Waste and Recycling Committee (WRC) will take place on Thursday, October 1 at 9 am. The meeting will be virtual. The meeting’s primary purposes are to present the results of the paper survey that was mailed to all residents in February, 2020, to review progress to date, and to hear a presentation on waste and recycling options by Irene Congdon, Regional Recycling Coordinator for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. Questions and comments from Princeton residents are welcome at this meeting. Depending on time and content, questions and comments may be answered live, or may be collected for review and addressed at a later time.

The meeting agenda and instructions for attending are available [here].

The WRC was appointed by the Selectboard to examine waste and recycling options for Princeton residents. The committee’s first meeting took place on September 16, 2020, when it elected officers and received introductory information from Irene Congdon. Committee members include: Claire Golding, Chair; Marsha Paine, Vice-Chair; Shauna Knuth, Secretary; Richy Bisk (Selectboard representative); Terri Longtine (Board of Health representative); Helga Lyons (Advisory Committee representative); and Sherry Patch (Town Administrator).
