Princeton Receives $50,000 Grant For Master Plan Development

Master Plan Grant Announcement

The Town of Princeton has received a $50,000 grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Urban Agenda Grant Program to work with the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission to develop a Phase 1 update of the Town of Princeton Master Plan last updated in 2007. Town officials and volunteers will be working on the development of a community-wide vision for the town, which will include a community survey covering the specific chapters in the master plan and the creation of three new chapters on future Land Use, Economic Development, and Open Space and Recreation opportunities. This announcement was made recently by Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and Housing and Economic Development Secretary Mike Kennealy as part of a $2.5 million initiative to support 30 projects in 26 communities. The Urban Agenda Grant Program is designed to support community development that is grounded in collaboration and focused on economic opportunities with local significance. Please keep an eye out for future Town Wide News announcements containing opportunities for interested residents to get involved in this project.
