The center is provided by Wachusett Earthday, the State Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the seven Wachusett Towns.

Directions: From Princeton
  • 140 South to traffic light right before Sterling Greenery), right on Legg Road, 0.8 miles to entrance on right.
                                                          OR
  • Rt. 31 to left on Manning St. Holden to left on Raymond Huntington Highway, West Boylston
Collection Dates:
  • Open 1st Saturday of the month 8am-11am (Jan, Feb,& Dec)
  • Open 3rd Saturday of every month 8AM-11AM, Household Hazardous Products (HHP) until 12PM
  • Tuesdays 9AM-11AM
  • Wednesdays 2:30PM-4:30PM
  • Thursdays 5 to 7pm (March - November)
  • There are 4 Household Hazardous Product (HHP) collections remaining for 2017 as follows:
Saturday, September 16th, 8 am to 12 noon – Chemicals and paints – Household hazardous products collection at the Wachusett Regional Recycle Center. Please do not mix paints and chemicals. There is a $4 fee per pound (dry) or gallon (liquid) Also accepting all bulk, recycle, reuse and electronics (some with fee).


Saturday, October 7th, 8 am to 12 noon – Chemicals and paints ONLY. Chemicals and paints – Household hazardous products collection at the Wachusett Regional Recycle Center. Please do not mix paints and chemicals. There is a $4 fee per pound (dry) or gallon (liquid). The rest of the site will NOT be open for drop-off or visiting.


Saturday, October 21st, 8 am to 11 am – Free document shredding with a document shredding truck on site. Also accepting all bulk, recycle, reuse and electronics (some with fee).


Saturday, November 18th, 8 am to 12 noon – Chemicals and paints – Household hazardous products collection at the Wachusett Regional Recycle Center. Please do not mix paints and chemicals. There is a $4 fee per pound (dry) or gallon (liquid) Also accepting all bulk, recycle, reuse and electronics (some with fee).

Please be sure that your donated items are clean and sorted – our volunteers cannot  sort through mouse nests and debris that is not shelf-ready! Thank you!!


Please note: The Center will be closed on days when the Wachusett schools are closed for inclement weather.
