The Open Space Committee will be leading a series of Hikes in the Trails around Princeton. our objectives are to showcase Princeton Hiking Trails, foster a community hiking group, and provide a safe way to explore Princeton and surrounding towns.
Twice a month hikes will range from two to ten miles in and around Princeton. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring water. Also, due to changes in weather, plowing of parking areas, and footing, there are likely to be last-minute changes! Please check facebook or get on the mailing list (see below) to receive last minute changes.
Currently planned hikes are:
- February 24: Poutwater Pond: 4 Miles: OK so we have tried this twice and been thwarted by water both times! This time we will try a different approach, going in through the TPS Nature trails and up a DCR road to the pond. The water SHOULD be frozen. Easy walk!!
- March 10 9AM: Hog Hill (Sterling): Meet at the end of Merrill Rd, which is off Route 140 just before Sterling Greenery. 3 Miles, easy hike.
- March 24 9AM: Wachusett West Side: Moderate 4 Miles. Meet at the Westminster Rd /Admin Rd Trail Head. Repeat from 2017.
