What is the Princeton Conservation Commission?
The Princeton Conservation Commission is a seven member volunteer board appointed by the Board of Selectmen.  The commission was formed under the Conservation Commission Act of 1957 (M.G.L. Ch. 40 sec. 8C).  The commission was established to promote and develop the natural resources and to protect the watershed resources of the town.

What does the Conservation Commission do?
The primary responsibility of the Commission is the administration of the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. Ch. 131 sec. 40).  The Commission is also the official agency specifically charged with the protection of the town’s natural resources.  The Commission also advises other municipal officials and boards on conservation issues that relate to their areas of responsibility.
